The Kallas family relocated to McKinney from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1997, several years after completing my enlistment in the Navy and shortly after my wife Amy completed her Nursing degree.
Having emigrated to Texas, I quickly went to work securing a future for our family as new Texans.  In 1999 I started a career in the automotive world, working at a local Chevy dealership in the service department while taking classes at Collin College and later The University of North Texas.  After completing my degree in Political Science and History, I continued to work within the automotive industry while raising our daughters.  During this time I also served at our local church with the student ministries.

In 2012 I returned to my passion of politics and began to become involved with state level issues and later served on two boards at the county level.

I plan to bring my varied life experiences and hard work ethic to the city council representing the average taxpayer and build upon the Unique history and character that is McKinney.
